① There is / There are 고르기

뒤에 오는 명사가 하나이거나 셀 수 없는 것(water, milk, time 등)이면 There is, 여러 개이면 There are예요. 말할 때는 There is를 There's로 줄여 쓰기도 해요.

"없어요"는 is / are 뒤에 not을 붙여 There isn't / There aren't라고 해요. "있어요?"라고 물을 때는 is / are를 맨 앞으로 보내 Is there ~? / Are there ~?라고 해요. 대답은 there를 그대로 써서 짧게 해요.
